Film Screening: J.D Ojeikere, The Master Photographer
In commemoration of the growth and role of Pa.J.D Ojeikere in Nigerian Photography, kindly join us on March 4th, 2016 at 6pm for a single bill screening of J.D OJEIKERE: The Master Photographer directed by Tam Fiofori and Jod Benson. The film shows the development of Ojeikere’s career into a legendary patriarch of the Nigerian photography scene embodying history on a cultural premise. In addition, it presents his self-taught progressive career and growth from the literal bottom to the pinnacle of his photography career. Further, it encompasses his development with respect to expertise and technology, continuously questioning and pushing barriers technically and professionally delving from portrait, advertising, glamour to cultural and nude photography.
