MISSION: The African Artists' Foundation provides support to professional artists in Africa through healthcare, a pension fund for aging artists, scholarships for young artists, support for the professional development of women artists, international exhibits and community outreach programs to foster an enabling environment for the development and promotion of public health through artistic endeavours.

The African Artists' Foundation, based in Lagos, has as its dual mission; the promotion of African arts and artists and the promotion of public health issues and awareness. The Foundation is unique in Nigeria in that it complies, not only with all the requirements of a charitable foundation in Nigeria, but is organized and incorporated to be recognized as a non-profit charitable foundation in the United States as well.

AAF programs benefits artists and the general public through improved livelihoods and education. The focus is on creativity and self-expression and a form of empowerment by encouraging self-actualization and fulfilment. We believe in looking inwards for growth and advancement.

The African Artists' Foundation is based in Lagos, Africa's most populated city. The AAF is the Resident Artistic Organization in the new Lagos Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, Lagos. The African Artists' Foundation mailing address is: P. O. Box 56128, Ikoyi Falomo, Lagos
