Emmanuel Dudu
Painting

Dudu Emmanuel (male), Was born in Benin City, Edo state in the year 1974, to parents from Warri north, Delta state. He had his early education in Benin City before proceeding to the Famous Auchi Art school, Auchi in 1995 to study Art. Majoring in painting with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in 1999 after an initial two years course in general art with the award of Ordinary National Diploma (OND).
He recently added a bachelor's degree in visual Art from the University of Lagos.

Dudu paints mostly figures which he renders using pastel, oil, Acrylics and water colours. His works are characterized with lavish use of colours, especially in oil and exotic African traditional motifs in water colours and pastel

Featured in a documentary titled 'This is Lagos' A documentary Produced by News and Pictures Media and the Commonwealth Broadcast Association which is part of DFID. Producer - Tunji Akinsehinwa; Director - Paul Marie Houessou; Executive Producer - Sally-Ann Wilson
Brief: To change perceptions about Africa by making positive films that reflects an alternative image. 'This is Lagos' was about revealing a side to Lagos that most people would not believe because of its reputation as a dangerous city.
